Anagondanahalli and surrounding villages in spite of being close to city like Bangalore there are no libraries or book shops or cultural centers. Observing this, Sarathi strongly felt to introduce Pusthaka Samskriti to the community as a stepping stone. To inculcate reading habits among children on 31st December 2011, Sarathi Jhalak in association with Sneha Publications and Anagondanahalli gram Panchayat is conducting Book exhibition cum distribution of books for 20 school libraries in total covering 63 villages. Sneha Book House’s Publisher Sri. Parashivappa is sponsoring this event.The local guests include Local Gram Panchayat Chairman& members, Zilla Panchayat ex-president, village heads.

Sri.Shyam Prasad, Cinema Editor and Legal Correspondent of Bangalore Mirror and S.V. Lakshmi Narayan, Deputy Director, Information Dept, Government of Karnataka will be Special Guests.

Local SHG women have taken the initiative in making the arrangements for the event.
